31st MIF to Kick Off in October New Spanish-Speaking Countries Industry Pavilion, Four Major Exhibition Zones, and Multiple Concurrent Events to Expand International Business Opportunities
MACAU, September 17 - The 31st Macao International Trade & Investment Fair (31st MIF), organised by the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) of the Macao Special Administrative Region, will be held from 21 to 24 October 2026 (Wednesday to Saturday) at the Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao. This year’s MIF will feature four core exhibition zones and a number of specialised pavilions, including the newly established Spanish-Speaking Countries Industry Pavilion, which will bring together exhibitors from eleven Spanish-speaking countries. Expected to enhance Macao’s role as a platform between China and Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking countries, this new pavilion will create a gateway to business opportunities in overseas markets, including Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking countries and ASEAN nations, while supporting enterprises in their global expansion.
The 31st MIF will be held concurrently with the 2026 Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) (2026PLPEX) and the Macao Franchise Expo 2026 (2026MFE) at the same venue. The theme “Macao: The Global Hub of Business Convergence” will run across all three exhibitions for the first time, to generate more tangible results and open up development opportunities for domestic and international exhibitors.
Four major exhibition zones: Boosting enterprises’ global expansion and industrial partnership opportunities
Covering a total exhibition area of 16,000 square metres, the 31st MIF will focus on industrial development and regional co-operation. The four core exhibition zones are: the Technology and Creativity Zone, centred on AI technological innovation and opportunities for technological innovation in the Greater Bay Area; the Big Health and Modern Lifestyle Zone, focusing on the overseas expansion of the traditional Chinese medicine and big health industries, as well as their application in modern consumer scenarios; the Economic & Trade Investment and Industrial Co-operation Zone, dedicated to business matching and international market expansion; and the Macao Business Exhibition Zone, promoting the upgrading of Macao enterprises and expanding business opportunities both locally and abroad.
A number of key concurrent events will also be held during the 31st MIF, including the China-Portuguese Speaking Countries International Agricultural Expo, Macao 2026, the 4th Business Conference on the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), the Jiangsu Agricultural Products Special Promotion Seminar, and the 2026 ICCA Asia-Pacific Business Events Development Forum, further extending Macao’s trade impact.
Three concurrent exhibitions: Attracting more investment through an “exhibition + inspection + matching” model
In addition, the 31st MIF, 2026PLPEX, and 2026MFE will adopt an “exhibition + inspection + matching” model, combining themed matching sessions, multi-venue events in Macao and Hengqin, and guided community tours, among other activities. These activities will bring together domestic and international traders and buyers, providing opportunities for negotiations, procurement, and inspections of the business environments in Macao and Hengqin. This will maximise the effectiveness of “promoting investment through exhibitions” and facilitate the overseas expansion and industrial upgrading of Macao enterprises.
